This was one of my first title sequences I was given full control on. 

Visually I was inspired by Patrick Clair's double exposure work on True Detective but by that time, it was already on the cusp of being overused and cliche. None-the-less I felt strongly that using fragmented portraits served as a great way to show characters that are marginalized or internally divided. But this was going to be a different audience so I played around with finding a proper color template and landed on jewel tone colors. I found that it evoked a surreal and floaty mood that perfectly captured what we were after.
