I was furthering my education at Film School when I picked up two internships. One of which was at Henninger Media Services, a video production house outside Washington, DC. 
I was full of ambition and one day while executing basic intern assignments (getting coffee), I decided Henninger's website could use an update. When word got out what the "intern" was doing, everyone from the shop were enormously supportive and encouraged me to finish it from top to bottom.
While I have since seen that the website has been redesigned yet again, I'm pleased my risk was a great experience that paid off for everyone.
